Yes, you’ve heard it from me before. I have struggled with sleep for…well, I’m so tired, I can’t remember how long. You know, it’s a funny thing about getting older. While there are plenty of upsides to reaching your golden years, there are also a few challenges that come knocking on your door. One of these challenges is that elusive night’s sleep that seems to slip away as we age. Having been through menopause a L-O-N-G time ago, I can speak from experience. I began this lovely journey through the sweats, the blank stares when I couldn’t remember things, and the tossing and turning almost THIRTY YEARS AGO (well, maybe I DO remember). You’d think it would have gotten better by now. Yes, the hot sweats are gone, but…WHO ARE YOU and WHY AM I WATCHING INFORMERCIALS AT 3 AM?

Now, I’ve always been one to value a good night’s sleep. But since entering the realm of this change to my hormones, my sleep pattern took a nosedive. Oh boy, it wasn’t pretty! The hot flashes, night sweats, and constant tossing and turning made it feel like I was running on fumes during the day. I knew I had to find a solution, so I asked my doctor what I could do.
