10 daily habits for a healthy life

While I’ve always talked about health and wellness, turning 69 made me want to be less willy-nilly about taking care of myself properly and actually set out a program of daily habits that would help me stay at my peak. I needed them to be easy and most of all achievable. Saying that I’d run 10 miles a day when I can barely walk 2 miles would have been a ridiculous goal (and set me up for failure).

Living a healthy lifestyle is key to feeling great and having enough energy to tackle the day. Habits like getting enough sleep, eating nutritious foods, exercising regularly, taking breaks, socializing, and practicing mindfulness are all excellent ways to ensure that your body and mind stay in tip-top shape. With a few small changes to your daily routine, you’ll soon be on the right track toward living a healthier life!

I truly believe that we each need a set of reminders to stay on track, so I’ve assembled this easy-to-do list of 10 habits for a healthy day (which I hope translates to a healthier life).
